Ten additional deaths attributed to COVID-19 were reported among Lubbock County residents Monday, bringing the county's death toll to 359.
There were 205 new cases confirmed and 415 additional recoveries reported, bringing the active case count to 5,249.
As of Monday afternoon, there are 4 staffed hospital beds available at both UMC and Covenant Health with 27 patients waiting for beds, according to the City of Lubbock COVID-19 dashboard.
There are other beds available, but these are in specialized areas including pediatrics, PICU, outpatient, psychiatric and others.
The 22-county region, Trauma Service Area B, has 30.75 percent of total capacity occupied by patients who have tested positive for COVID-19. The region will remain under expanded restrictions, including bars closed and no elective medical procedures, until the region drops below 15 percent for a week straight.
Since mid-March, 26,818 people have been infected but have since recovered.
