RICHARDSON, Texas (November 15, 2021) – The Lone Star Conference announced their weekly honors and Lubbock Christian University's Allie Schulte was this week's Defensive Player of the Week recipient in women's basketball.

Allie Schulte helped LCU to a 4-1 start, as LCU went 3-0 at the DII CCA Tip-Off Classic at the Trailhead in Billings, Montana and 1-1 at the RMAC/LSC Tip-Off Challenge in Lakewood, Colo, as she averaged 12.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.6 steals a game. She claimed All-Tournament MVP honors at the DII CCA Tip-Off Classic at the Trailhead, which included a season-opening 19 points against Montevallo. At Colorado Christian, Schulte had a season-high five steals and has 13 steals through five games played. The guard from Nazareth, Texas produced double figures in points in four of the five games played.

The honor is the fourth overall weekly honor in Schulte's career and the second defensive weekly accolade. LCU claimed six individual weekly honors last season and Schulte's award this week is the first Lady Chaps weekly honor received this season.

The Lady Chaps are 4-1 on the season and are back home this week. They will receive their national championship rings from their 2021 NCAA Division II national title Thursday during halftime of the LCU men's basketball contest against West Texas A&M. The Lady Chaps home opener is Friday at 7 p.m., as LCU hosts No.3 Lander inside Rip Griffin Center.
